Jerry Brown: There will be cuts

Gov.-elect Jerry Brown held his second budget forum at UCLA. The Dec. 14 event focused on education funding. Brown told participants he’d do everything he can to minimize cuts to schools. Brown says CA budget crisis is worse

In the MediaGov.-elect Jerry Brown told legislators yesterday that the state’s deficit is bigger than previous estimates. A possible change in federal estate tax law will result in a $2.7 billion revenue loss, Brown said. That would up California’s deficit to $28.1 billion.
